However, since the passage of the Commodity and Futures Modernization Act of 2000, the futures industry led by the introduction of the equity E-miniā„¢ products offered by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, has been gaining the acceptance as a more efficient alternative. This article examines some of the similarities and differences of these two products.
