AB There are currently 37 index tracking ETFs in Europe, with 43 separate listings on seven exchanges. This time last year there were only three. With at least a further 31 ETFs currently in fund managers' pipelines, numbers are set to continue growing rapidly. However, total assets under management (AUM) of only EUR 2.8Bn indicates that these are still early days. In the U.S., the world's most developed ETF market, total AUM are in excess of USD 66Bn (EUR 77Bn).
