Abstract
Over the past few years, new ETFs have been introduced on indexes that use alternative methodologies to weight or select the components within the index. This approach has been called fundamental or enhanced indexing. The purpose of this article is to compare the construction and composition of selected traditional and fundamental indexes and show relative performance over certain time periods.
